"Good and sweet year!" - under such motto passed in Aktobe Hesed preparatory classes to one of the most favorite Jewish holidays Rosh-ha-Shana. The chiefs decided beforehand to collect children to acquaint them with traditions and symbols of the Jewish New Year. In Hesed were invited the most young members of our community from 3 till 5 years old, you see to bring up respect for customs and culture of the people it is necessary from early childhood.

Despite of cold this day weather, the guys amicably came in Hesed. The hot tea with sweets made their faces happy and ruddy. After amicable tea-drinking the chiefs conducted interesting and fascinating classes acquainted the guys with traditions of celebrating Rosh-ha-Shana. During classes children dipped apples in honey, wishing thus "Sweet year". With curiosity held in hands to many still unknown subject - Shofar. Then, guys were told, about one of main commandments of Jewish people - help to needy people. To children showed Tzdaka, told, how it is important to help the people.

After conversation about symbols of Rosh-ha-Shana, was shown sketch "Creation of the World", with participation of children. To the guys explained, that the first man was created right in this holiday. Colourful pic tures of trees, animals and birds revived in hands ofchildren. And, at last, time of cheerful games and quizzes began. For example, under cheerful music on a circle from hands to hands the ball was transferred. With the ending of a melody person who still had the ball, made the wish to everybody present. From sincere children's wishes at adult in eyes the tears of pleasure shone.

The guys liked games very much, in which they participated together with parents. After cheerful entertainments, the time of creative classes began. Children by the hands made cards to Rosh-ha-Shana for native and friends. At the end of evening the mini-disco was carried out. Happy children, with gifts and balloons left home, in hope for speed meeting.
