The Republican Jewish Library of Kazakhstan does not get tired to gladden the readers with the new literature. Literally these days library fund replenished with four interesting and cognitive books.

   There is no area of human activity, in which the Jews would not show their talents. The Jewish people gave to the world many geniuses: the religious figures and thinkers, scientific, musicians, poets, writers, actors, state figures, physicians, businessmen and sportsmen. Their names are well-known to everyone, but not everyone knows, by what hard, thorny path they went towards their aim, by what price they reached the success. Not without reason great Heine noticed: "Feats of the Jews are so poorly known for the world, as their original being. People think, that know them, because saw their beards, but anything more did not opened to them, and, as in the Middle Ages, the Jews nowadays remain vagrant secret". On pages of the book "100 famous Jews" the authors will try even slightly to open this secret.

   In the anthology "Half-centuries of the Jewish theatre" included the plays of the known Jewish playwrights: A. Goldfaden, Y. Gordin etc. During decades literary works of these authors composed a basis of repertoire of the Jewish theatre. The majority of the plays, included in present collection, are published in Russian for the first time. The book is of interest both for the theatrical figures, and for a wide range of the readers.

"Jewish aphorisms". In this book sayings of the philosophers, scientific, poets, writers, actors and political figures were gathered, which are united by two biographic circumstances: all of them were born the Jews and all of it fairly proud. There is in this book a small drawback there - fragmentariness, but there is a justification by this. One can not square the circle, and Jewish culture, so also wisdom, are immense. "Negative of the positive hero". Recently Vasily Aksenov finished the new book "Negative of the positive hero", which included the stories of last years written on a joint of two cultures: Russian and American. So, painful Russian meditation combine in them with prompt American actions in smooth "melodies" of our life imperious intrude "jazz motives". But the eternal human problems are identical both in Russia, and in USA, the writer is sure. That is why his new book - is about love and hatred, about despair and hopes, about imaginary independence and true freedom of spirit.
