On 20 July 2008 a presentation ceremony was conduceted in Hesed "Polina" to award the winners of the Kazakhstan National Children’s Competition of Art "60th Anniversary of Israel". The ceremony was attended by the parents, grandparents and other relatives and friends of the young award winners. The jury consisted of the representatives of Jewish agency "Sohnut" in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and of the "Rimon" Jewish Community Centre. The jury announced the winners of the competition as follows:
Almaty:
1st place: Nastia Trohimchuk, Nikita Polischuk;
2nd place: Olga Iliuhina;
3rd place: Christina Kaukina, Olga Sudakova.
The division of "The youngest artist" was won by Nastia Griuchak and Katia Arepyeva.
Shymkent
1st place: Tatyana Kozinko;
2nd place: Dasha Chibisova;
3rd place: Stella Stuchevskaya.
Petropavlovsk
1st place: Alena Duday;
2nd place: Vera Horuzhaya;
3rd place: Pavel Rogachev.
Semipalatinsk
1st place: Tamara Frenkel;
2nd place: Sonia Topolnitskaya;
3rd place: Sofia Baturina.
Pavlodar
1st place: Regina Gontmaher;
2nd place: Aida Daerbaeva.
Prizes were presented to the winners. The first place winners received the glass painting kits. The winners runners-up were awarded with pastel kits, and the winners of the 3rd place were awarded with albums for painting and aquarelle paints.
The audience prize was won by Polina Chukanova and Dasha Sibgatulina, who jointly painted a work "Sabbath". They received professional pastel kits as a prize.
A buffet concluded the award ceremony. The prize winners from cities other than Almaty will receive their prizes shortly.
