Modesty, tactfulness, goodwill and erudition of Lev Shafirov simply subdued the members of our community. To list how many all made this man and his younger son for Hesed is possible very long.

 - That memorable 2002 was accepted the decision on opening Hesed in Kokshetau, - recollects the director of Hesed Anatoly Itkin, - Despite of beginning financial difficulties money to purchase of a premise for Hesed was allocated. But price so sharply crawled upwards, that the speech could be only about purchase and simple repair. On furniture, inventory money did not remain … at this time and were showed the Shafirovs. Younger - Stas has shop on manufacture of furniture. To whom was to address, how not to Shafirov? But they have outstripped us, asked: "Whether something is necessary?" And in the answer heard: "Everything is necessary - racks for library, stands, computer table, lockers …" But they did not continue to listen further. They walked around Hesed, took the sizes, wrote down. The list appeared not small. They made everything by the hands even "Tzdaka". And all this is beautiful, elegant, on each thing made by their hands engraving "In gift for Hesed "Nathan" from The Shafirovs".

Shafirov Lev Moiseevich was born on Ukraine in 1940. In family was the second child after the brother Gennady. His father was the handicraftsman - sewed caps. Mother worked as the seller. In 1941 his father was called for working army, the military part was in Gusinoozersk, Ulan-Ude area, where they and had moved. In 1942 the military part was relocated under Stalingrad. In one of fights, under city Kamyshino, Stalingrad area, his father was hardly wounded in hip. "Mashenka, may we'll see soon. I am sent in deep rear on treatment … ". It was last letter from father. On inquiry of the Ministry of a defense the notice had come, that he was missing. After the last correspondence it was found out, that the echelon with wounded in which followed Lev Shafirov's father was destroyed by bombing of fascist planes.

On May 9, 1945 Shafirov with family arrived to Omsk. Their relatives here lived. In Omsk they for 11 years wandered on apartments. In 1956 with they were allocated a room on four men of 16 sq.m.

In 16 years old Lev Shafirov began labor activity. He finished evening school. In 1959 was called for army. Served on Kamchatka, in sea units of frointer forces. He is put down in the book of honour of the unit. After a service he follows the brother in taiga edge of Omsk area, village Utma of Tevriz area. He enters collective farm, works as the electrician. But main is a public work. He was chosen as the secretary of Komsomol organization of collective farm and school. Due to an active, the club of poetry was created, revived art amateur performance.

Since 1970 to 1979 years he had worked at schools, then in Shuchinsk normal school as teacher of general technical disciplines.

Many from his students became the chiefs of the enterprises, businessmen, and work at schools. - The purpose is achieved! - says Lev Shafirov, - Guys became the real people. It means that and my life is lived not for nothing.It is unconditional, such people as Shafirov there are in our Hesed, - says Anatoly Itkin, - But it is difficult to name somebody else who in such volume helped Hesed. Main, that they were first. They opened institute of volunteers in our community. They gave an example to beginers of community Jewish life in Akmolinsk area. They determined the attitude of the people to the Jewish house. They gave an idea to anothers that the Jewish house can and should be not only warm, it should be beautiful, well-groomed and native. And as such the house will not become itself. The house becomes such native, when you do something for it and will stay made by you for others.
