The New Year - is considered holiday family, home. Certainly, it does not mean, that it needs to be met at home. It is possible pleasantly to lead this day and in a circle of the friends. And already second time our community meets Rosh-ha-Shana at Hesed. Yes, here it is rather tightly and celebratory dishes we prepare, but main - is that we here are as at home.
This year tried everybody: and employees, and our volunteers. Hesed looked festively - it was decorated with pictures, and the people came well-dressed and not for fifteen minutes prior to the beginning, as it was usual, and in one hour - another to talk to exchange news. Reigned good, cheerful mood. The participants of a concert - you see worried to act for "native" always is more difficultly. In auditorium were the most native people: mothers and fathers, grandparents and even the grand-grandmothers.
And the beginning. A traditional pray, stories about traditions of Rosh-ha-Shana, toasts and wishes alternating to gifts for birthday people, for children.
It is recollected, as 8-10 years ago we invited to us on Rosh-ha-Shana and in the answer heard: "New Year? Rosh-ha-Shana? What New Year? September - October is in the street!" And we patiently explained our system of chronology. How everything changed! Now telephone in Hesed does not cease for a minute. We are congratulated.
But not everybody can reach us on a holiday - many grew old,and there are also other reasons. Not everybody can prepare at home Jewish dishes, but dip an apple in honey congratulate each other even on the phone and tell: "Shana Tova! Lekhaym!" Can do and does everybody. Certainly, always there are people, which put more forces, energy, and time to the help of us. And we would like to list everybody, but this list is considerable.
