The Jews, living in Kokshetau, have interesting destiny. Before Hesed was opened most of us knew nothing about Rosh-hа-Shana, Purim, Pesach, and Hanukkah. We find out about them more and more each year, and they become closer and more native for us. Each holiday we find out our history more and more.

  The preparation for the holiday began one month before Purim. Everyone prepared: the collective of Hesed, participants of the events, all community spruced up - both young and old alike. Fever pitch reached the apogee last days: noise, din, fun, rehearsals and preparation Purim dishes. Excitement and pleasure were in the air. It was "bedlam" - in the finest sense of the word.

  At last this day came! There was all: traditional pray, stories about the history of Purim, congratulations, toasts and entertainment. It is possible to smile to our Youth club: Alena Usatova, Vlad Bezrukov, Pavel Petrov, and our volunteer Tatiana Davidova. Poems, songs, sketch from performances in their act caused the most sincere applause. Father and son Anatoli and Yuri Shapovalov decorated again all Hesed with figures and pictures about history of Purim.

  Culinary club "Tsimes", under the direction of Lydia Chernyavskaya, cooked Purim dishes. By the way, the cooking's recipes of these dishes laid on tables. The gifts literally strewed for families and children this day. All community, volunteers, and invited wonderfully celebrated Purim during 5 hours. When the evening was at the end and people began to come out organizers of the holiday could sense the thanks. It is pleasure when people like that you do for them!
