In Israel, in connection with celebration of Independence Day and 60th anniversary of the state, for two days postponed celebration of the veterans of Great Patriotic War. We could observe these holidays on TV. The old soldiers, breast in awards, slowly went in columns under applause of grateful progeny - young Israelis, inhabitants of the country, which could not be - it appeared after a Victory, due to Victory.

In Kostanay our community celebrated at once two significant dates: Victory Day and 60th anniversary of State Israel. Holiday, which passed in Hesed, was organized by young guys - Vladimir Alexanin and Vadim Chashkov. Both are constant participants of youth ensemble of the Jewish community. Warmly the greetings for gathered at celebratory table veterans of war, participants of labor front, Nazi victims sounded. To them Alexanin devoted the songs, for them sounded clarinet of Chashkov.

And began conversation at the table. Memoirs on fights - site of fire, about the friends - comrades shared the veterans of war, namesakes Nicolay and Bertran Rubinsteins. Nicolay is the most senior member of our community this summer to he will be 94 years old. More than 30 awards decorate a breast of Bertran Rubinstein - freeman of Kostanay.

Michael Buras - indigene leningradian - was12 years old, when the war began. In evacuation he went to work on a factory, substituted boxes, that boy could reach the machine tool. He was awarded with a medal for labor prowess during Great Patriotic.

Nicolay Abfelko miraculously avoided death. On his eyes the fascists shot all family, the five year child managed to hide. The wanderings had begun: he was brought up in the orphanage, only after war found out his family tree.

At meeting spoke about successes of the State Israel, about native people, which live there. Many words of gratitude sounded to a management of Hesed and Jewish cultural centre for care of the elderly people.
