Rosh-ha-Shana is a holiday, when everyone recollect, that they did last year and make the plans for future. This day all community gathers together. Weather this year was very warm, solar. The cosy cafe, festively decorated hall, tables filled with entertainments - that is tried Zoya Firenstein. The evening begins with lighting of candles. As Rosh-ha-Shana was celebrated on Tuesday, the candles on tradition light not from a match, but from other candle lighted prior to the beginning of holiday. Vladimir Lyakhovetsky strictly keeps the laws of a holiday, reads a pray.
After a pray Vadim Chashkov blows Shofar. To listen to these sounds there came all employees of cafe. And then director of Hesed Peter Rubinstein congratulated everybody on a holiday, thanked everyone, who helps a community, summarized successes of our guys and wished to everybody happiness and good luck in new 5769 year. After that "fireworks" of talents - on a stage began came out our young actors. They prepared the large musical program: Anna Fisenko performed a song " Good mood ", the violin of Nastya Puchkova told to us about love, as always shone Vladimir Aleksanin- his performance of the Jewish songs is worthy of all praises. But when played Vadim Chashkov, everybody started to dance: old and young alike. Nastya Palant performed, potpourri from the Jewish songs in honour of birthday people everybody amicably echoed, and the applause had beaten all records on loudness.
There was and surprise at concert - two girls, they are recently in our community, - Svetlana Kupfer and Vika Poddubnaya, performed the Jewish songs, accompanying themselves on a guitar. It is necessary to tell, that debutants acted very successfully. The holiday passed on hurrah.
At the end of the soiree to our little tables came administration and employees of restaurant. They told, that earlier did not assume at all, how interesting the Jews celebrate the new year and that, being present on our holiday, the personnel - the people of different nationalities - found out much about the Jewish traditions. It appears, they filmed everything on a video, for their archive. It was very pleasant for us.
