The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 carried away life of 22 millions Soviet citizens. The fascists exterminated not only ideological opponents communists, but also representatives of "non Aryan" peoples, first of all - Jews, which they considered as the main competitors in struggle for global domination " - with such words begins clause in Pavlodar newspaper " Region ", devoted to the measure carried out in museum of local lore on Memorial Days of Victims of Holocaust by our community.

Memorial evening of victims of Holocaust opened Valentina Sakharova. As the two-year girl she got in Jewish ghetto which the fascists suited in occupied Minsk. In memory of the lost compatriots Valentina lighted a mourning candle.

The eyewitnesses of those terrible events remain less and less. But still alive that generation - "children of war", who for ever remembered horrors of bombardments and hardships of life in evacuation. And it is very important, that they could transfer the bitter heritage to modern youth, only for the sake of that it never repeated.
