PURIMSHPIL

Pavlodar

Holiday Purim was held in Pavlodar, cheerful, bright and meaningful for the Jews.

Purimshpil, taking place in a cosy room of a Snek-bar, was prepared by Hesed and synagogue jointly.

The carnival was begun by a song "We begin Purimshpil". Children showed a cheerful musical on motives of known songs. And without a detailed narration in performance the heroes were easily guessed: spiteful Aman, beautiful Ester and wise Mordehai. The audience took up familiar melody. At the end of performance the philosophical idea sounded: the times change, at present it is possible to meet such people as Aman and Mordehai. This idea was continued by rabbi Shmuel, who read scroll Megelat Ester, each Jew has to hear it this day

The holiday was held cheerfully and boisterous, the people left home pleased.
