October 17 in Pavlodar "Holiday of friendship of languages" passed. In foyer of a house of national creativity "Shanyrak" reigned revival: the people about something talked, with something admired, the amicable laughter was heard. The business is that "Shanyrak" under the dome united the people of many nationalities on a holiday of languages. And it began from an exhibition of the national-cultural centers.
The tables with exhibits had representatives of the different centers dressed in the national clothes. They offered to familiarize with a part of their culture. A hall was gay with well-dressed girl in kokoshnik, boys in colour vests, grandmothers in multi-coloured sarafan and grandfathers in Cossack felt cloak.
The books, hand-made articles from clay and straw, embroidery, pictures, wicker-work and home utensils - all exposed is made by hands of present generation, but it seems so ancient, smelling by olden time, as if had come back from non-existence. It is pleasant to realize, that the crafts, at the same time and history of the peoples are transferred from generation to generation.
The Jewish centre "Merkaz" also took part in this beautiful and sufficient action. Our table abounded with needlework, with the Jewish motives, also there were candles, Torah, David's stars and much another.
The basic part of a holiday passed in a concert hall of a house of creativity. Here there came the visitors from administration of city, when the performances began, they did not stint applause.
On a stage the youth from the different centers bound flags of many countries, and in this symbolical dance the power of the state of Kazakhstan which united under the sky the people of so many nationalities was guessed. Then the representatives of he cultural centers performed songs in different languages. Our vocal collective "Teybelakh" with pride performed potpourri in Hebrew. The hall loudly applauded each executor, and these ovations spoke about friendship of the peoples.
Such measures are very important, they help to feel unity of the peoples of Kazakhstan and give joyful hope for prosperity of our multinational mighty state, where there is place for everybody to live and create.
