The holiday Rosh-ha-Shana was celebrated by the Jewish community of Northern Kazakhstan on September 18. It is necessary to tell, that the organizers of a holiday faced at preparation with set of problems, and, first of all with financial.

Colourfully to decorate a hall, to bring and to place attributes helped our constant "brigade of volunteers ": Zyama Girshik, Luda Feshina, Valya Ivanova, Nadia Bykova and Klara Pilsak.

Conducted a holiday the coordinator of the program on a history and tradition Igor Guretsky. He told about duties, which should be carried out by Jews during autumn holidays. Blessings on wine, hala and apples with honey, the leader of youth club Ilya Lemeshevsky read. And celebratory candles lighted Klara Semykina - one of elders of the community.

The children's centre prepared congratulations in verses in Hebrew and Yiddish, the teachers of sunday school Olga Krasheninnikova and Tatiana Falaleeva helped them. The representatives of youth club Kate Mishunina and Ilya Lemeshevsky helped everybody to execute ceremony of Tashlikh.


All traditions and commandments of holiday were observed: due to Igor Guretsky the people heard sounds of Shofar, as on a holiday did not forget and about Tzdaka. Shana Tova!
