Tu-bi-Shvat - "15th of Shvat month" - one of the basic holidays of the Jewish calendar New year of trees. January 20 Community Center of Shymkent cheerfully celebrated the holiday Tu-bi-Shvat. A hall festively was decorated with the posters, on which the trees and fruits of earth of Israel were represented. In the same hall the exhibition of children's pictures and hand-made articles to a holiday, wall newspaper settled down.

The congratulations from the chiefs of a community sounded. All were pleased with the Jewish songs under sounds of accordion of our musical worker Alexandr Korotkov. Nicolay Atran acquainted all present people with customs, traditions and history of a holiday, and also conducted quiz, in which distinguished Dasha Chibisova and Vika Sidorenko. Everybody participated in game "Guess a melody". The group of children has prepared the block of verses for a holiday Tu-bi-Shvat. The competition of pictures has also passed, on which the prizes to the best artists were handed. The prizes received: Anel, Julia, Lena.

Tu-bi-Shvat - is a family holiday, and our community - is one large and amicable family. All members of family gathered at celebratory table. On Tradition on a table there were raisin, nuts, fig, dates, olives, pomegranates and wheaten grains, which together make seven terrestrial fruits.
