That ones remembered…

25 and 27 January in Jewish Community Center "Rimon" two measures devoted to Holocaust Victims Memory Day passed. First was carried out specially for children. The Jewish youth and teenagers prepared sketch and presentation to explain to the smallest community members that occurred in 1933 - 1945.

- The general Assembly of UN announced January 27 as International Holocaust victims memory Day, which is celebrated annually, - opened meeting the director of association Hesed "Polina" and JCC "Rimon" Inessa Chugaynova - For today already 20 countries of the world announced this day in the National day of Holocaust. Among them are - Germany and Sweden, Italy and Great Britain, Poland and Bulgaria, Albania and Estonia. The historical tragedies repeat, when the society begins to forget about them. Therefore neither atrocity of the fascists, nor horror Auschwitz should not be buried in oblivion, how many years would has not passed from the moment of rout of Nazis.

January 27 in Community Center on meeting the visitors of "Day Center", employees of Hesed and eyewitnesses of the Holocaust gathered. Among gathered were neither casual people, nor indifferent.

- For me the Holocaust it is not simple words, - said President of Association of the Jewish national organizations of Kazakhstan "Mitsva" Alexander Baron, - About 90 % of my relatives were lost in the Holocaust. We today, and each year in January 27 gather together to remember these awful and sad events to tell to young generation, how it occured. Let's remember the Holocaust that it would never repeat!

On meeting were present Rabbis Shevach Zlatopolsky and Betzalel Livshitz. The rabbis read a pray, which after them have repeated all gathered people. Also the meeting visited Head of representation of the World Jewish agency "Sokhnut" in Kazakhstan Joseph Lebovitch.

Some words told about the Holocaust and today's events Lubov Koretskaya, Edward Kaukin and Gita Yakovleva. All of them - are the eyewitnesses of those events.
