On the sixth of March the Ambassador of Israel to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Mr. Mei Ami visited Hesed "Polina". He was welcomed by the director of the Jewish communal center "Rimon" Inessa Chugaynova, the coordinator of social and communal programs of the American Distribution Committee "Joint" Galina Chelohsaeva and the director of the Republican Jewish library Galina Korobkina.

The objective of the Ambassador’s visit was to familiarize himself with the work of Jewish community of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the charity programmes of the Hesed. Inessa Chugaynova and Galina Chelohsaeva acquainted the guest with their work and life of the community. Mr. Mei Ami recognized activity of Hesed "Polina" as an effort of immense importance.

Mr. Mey Ami also visited an exposition of a surrealist artist Jury Zobak in a showroom of Hesed "Polina" and met the author of the artwork.

The director of the Jewish library Galina Korobkina showed the Ambassador the book collection and new books received as a gift from the American Distribution Committee "Joint". She also described the work of the Jewish libraries in Kazakhstan.

Saying goodbye Mr. Mei Ami thanked the community for warm reception.
