From February 6 till February 8 in Almaty the annual republican conference of the chiefs of the Jewish organizations of Kazakhstan passed. 48 directors of Heseds, Jewish Community and Cultural Centers from 13 cities and areas of republic gathered here .

On solemn opening of a conference were present the vice-president of Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Anatoly Chesnokov, representative of Assembly at the South-Kazakhstan area Gabit Nuradil, chief of Dungan centre Husey Daurov, Head of representation of the World Jewish agency "Sokhnut" in Kazakhstan Joseph Lebovitch, Executive vice-president of the Eurasian Jewish congress Fedor Osinin and rabbi Shevakh Zlatopolsky.

 - Today's conference - is the important event in life of the Jewish community, - told Anatoly Chesnokov, - it is very important, that today you discuss the future directions and prospects of development of your organizations. And even more so are important and unique those decisions and answers to questions which you together will find.

At a conference with the report on the Jewish community in 2008 acted the Executive vice-president of the Eurasian Jewish Congress, Jewish Congress of Kazakhstan and Association "Mitsva" Fedor Osinin.

 - The last year was in own way difficult and in own way fertile for each of us. It was marked by many important events which mentioned as all the world, and only Jews of Kazakhstan. The last year the Jewish community of Kazakhstan took active participation in the international life. Extremely important also it is necessary, that it continued foreign policy relation and this year, - he emphasized.

With the interesting message on work of organization "Joint", our largest sponsor, acted the coordinator of social and community programs Galina Chelokhsayeva.

- The today sets before us serious questions. The questions on perfection of our work and achievement of financial independence, - noted the President of Association of the Jewish national organizations of Kazakhstan "Mitsva", Alexander Baron, - Today professionals of a highest class in community building gathered here. And I believe that together we can overcome any difficulties, solve any problems and answer on most tricky questions set before us by the life, because we not just build the Jewish community, but also we work for the boon of all people of Kazakhstan.

During three days the directors reported about the work, done for the year, discussed essential problems and ways of their decision. The reports on work of Community Centers and fourth Central-Asian International Festival of the Jewish children's and youth creation "FREILEHE KINDER" presented the chief of Almaty Association Hesed "Polina" and JCC "Rimon" Inessa Chugaynova and director of Jewish regional Community Center "Shemesh" Irina Kozhanovskaya. Also about the done work reported the Chairman of the Jewish Cultural Centre of Almaty Alexander Arepyev and chief of historical club Isaac Grinberg. At conference directors set questions to the chiefs of the welfare programs from Almaty - Zhanna Danilenko, Tamara Nikitenko, Valentina Sokolkova, Marina Iorish and Sima Branovitch.

With the honorable letter for active participation and significant contribution to construction of the Kazakhstan Jewish community were awarded Helena Untenko (Aktobe), Helena Dmitriyeva (Taraz), Helena Levina (Astana) and Igor Berner (Almaty).

The conference finished with brain storm, under the direction of Alexander Baron and round table on a theme of a survival in modern conditions.
