The last week in Almaty in an exhibition hall of Hesed "Polina" opened the exhibition of the known Kazakhstan artist - surrealist Yuri Zobak. "Sand-glass" - such name an exhibition received due to the same work submitted on an opening day. 19 works of the author in total were exposed.

Yuri Zobak was born on July 25, 1957 in Kazakhstan. In 1978th graduated from Almaty Art School. He participated in many exhibitions, such as "Animal painters exhibition" 1996, "Festival of masks" 1997, exhibition "Nu" in 2003rd and others. His works are in private collections in many countries of the world: Kazakhstan, Israel, Russia, Canada, USA, Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, Finland, Italy, Japan and England.

The creativity of each talented artist is an auto portrait of his internal pursuits and reflections. Yuri Zobak, creating in space of surrealism "other reality", creeps over a wide spectrum of the human relations.

Yuri Zobak embodies in the works secret movement of feelings and emotions, can be far from a reality, and can be, more natural, than reality. On his creativity, undoubtedly, western masters of a brush influence, but he works in manner created by him.

The artist aspires to transfer the essence of subjects and stages in the deformed manner of surrealistic perception of life. The materials, which he works with, are various pastel crayon, ink, water colour, and, certainly, oil. The painting is a ring of his creativity. He consciously deforms anatomy and space, and also transfers complex psychological condition. By means of art images he aspires to transfer feelings of loss, hope, loneliness or despair. The feelings, which we test daily, are embodied in the forms frightening and alluring in such great distance, that on soul becomes involuntarily disturbing.

The exhibition will be prolonged up to the end of February.
