On October 28th, at the Jewish Community Center Rimon, many guests gathered to participate in the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the club Retro 7.40. The famous hit not only gave its name to the club but also has become the club’s hymn. Five years ago, several enthusiastic women addressed President of Mitsva Association Alexander baron to open a club for fans of Jewish music. Alexander answered that the Community Center is home for all of them and their desire to create something new is quite good. For five years, those who cannot live without music and socializing have been gathering in the club in any weather. They create lyrics themselves, write music, design and make costumes.

Mila Tokar "opened the meeting" and a vivid performance started. We were demonstrated the club history through songs and dances. The performance can be certainly called a musical comedy. Everything was on the highest level including stage direction, music, costumes, and acting. Brave "hussars" danced with "prima ballerinas of the Bolshoy Theather". Spectators had a lot of fun.


Inessa Chugainova, Director of Hesed Polina, congratulated the club. She wished everybody good health and on behalf of the whole Jewish Community presented a collective trip ticket to the spa resort Kazakhstan. Leader of the Family Club Shalom Sara Dotsenko said: "The Family Club has turned 10 years old this year. We are twice as older than you are. We wish you to grow further and remain as cheerful and resilient as you are now" and presented some books. Volunteers Maina Kabirova, Svetlana Nezhinskaya said kind words to the women. Lyubov Koretskaya invited the club and all guests to the upcoming Community Festival of the Jewish Book. Director of the Medical Program Sima Branovich noted: "Jubilee, according to Jewish tradition, is not five years but fifty years. I wish your club to celebrate your real jubilee!" Inna Yenina, Manager of the Volunteer Program, congratulated Retro 7.40 Club as many of the club members are volunteers.


We all love holidays and wait for them. But there are people who do not wait for holidays but make them! As the Retro 7.40 Club showed, age is a relative factor. Some people have expired look and shambling gait at 25, while others are full of life at a much older age. We wish you to live to 120 years old and stay as stunning as you are now!
