Boris Propishan is a member of the Jewish community of Karaganda city. He has many times helped Jewish Community Center Shemesh to organize holiday concerts, and musical salons. Boris Propishan initiated creation of a singing group At Azoy, which gave concerts in Karaganda, Almaty, and Astana.

Boris Propishan was born on the 2nd of May, 1944, one year before the Victory, in the family of honored artists of Moldova Gita Strahilevich and Naum Propishan. Music became the meaning of his life. The gifted young man came to Kazakhstan. Here he met his first love and preserved his feelings through life. Together they grew up two children, gave them musical education. Now they are happy to see their grand children growing.

Boris Propishan has been working for 40 years in Karaganda Philharmonics. He is not just a good musician, arranger, and a leader of ensemble; he is also a teacher, promoter of young talents. Boris can always give a useful advice, listen carefully, explain, and sometimes criticize.

This year Boris Propishan celebrates 65 years. In the concert hall Shalkyma relatives and friends of Boris Propishan gathered to congratulate him. A very nice concert was prepared by ensemble Merey, which is led by Boris. A lot of beautiful songs were sung, many kind words were said to the musician, and there were lots of flowers and applause.

The Jewish community of Karaganda, Hesed Miriam, Jewish Community Center Shemesh congratulate Boris Propishan with his birthday with all our heart and we wish him to live to 120 years!
