On April 26th, in Astana, Israeli Ambassador Mr. Israel May hosted a reception in honor of the 61st anniversary of Israeli Independence. Representatives of Kazakhstan Jewish communities were invited including Semipalatinsk community: Director of the Jewish Cultural Center Mr. Shilman G.I. and Director of Semipalatinsk Branch of Care Center - Hesed Polina Ms. Volkova E.V.

Ambassador Mr. Israel May Amy opened the reception by addressing the audience with a congratulatory speech. Then the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mynbayev S.M. congratulated everybody.

Jazz orchestra concert was performed under direction of Leonid Ptashka. The reception was continued with a fourchette, where guests informally discussed things of mutual interest related to Israeli life.

His Excellency Ambassador of Israel Mr. May Amy and Mrs. Ambassador took pictures with representatives of Semey Jewish Community.
