On Friday, December 18 in the Taldykorgan Jewish Cultural Charity Center Aviv, two wonderful holidays were held - Hanukah and Shabbat.
Following traditions is one of the commandments. Jews of our city gathered around a celebration table. Igor Vozchikov lit Hanukah candles. We had a guest from Israel - Stanislav Levin, he read kiddush over wine and bread. Then we had a lot of fun, told each other about Hanukah miracles, played dreidls.
At the end of the celebration, Stanislav Levin said, "I would like to note that Hanukah in Taldykorgan is held according to all Jewish traditions - there is kosher wine, donuts, and Shabbat hallas on the celebration table and the Hanukah dreidl game is a wonderful fun activity."
