In East Kazakhstan ethnographic museum - reserve the updated stationary exposition "We - are people of Kazakhstan" is open. Materials about the most various ethnic groups occupying territory of East Kazakhstan, including the Jews here are submitted. The exposed exhibits form an image of the Jewish house. Hostess in it - is senior scientific employee Nina Krutova.

- The exhibition, - she says, - is devoted to one of the most ancient peoples which history - is circuit of paradoxes. This people gave to the world thousands of talented writers, poets, philosophers, musicians and scientists.

 - In a museum exposition, - tells Nina Krutova, - there are exhibits, which show, what the Jewish house differs with from anyone another. Mezuzah (Jewish. - "door jamb ") - parchment scroll with the texts from Torah, placed in a case and attached to a jamb of a door. Commandment about mezuzah - is one of major. According to tradition mezuza protects the Jewish house. The believing Jew entering in an apartment, should kiss it or touch by fingers, and then bring them to lips.

We saw Tfilin (heb. "Prays") - man's cult subject, which is put on since 13 years during a pray. In tfilin also are parchment scrolls with the texts from Torah. At the Jewish house necessarily there are Saturday candles, Menorah, and Hanukkiya (light only in a holiday Hanukka). For the first time in a museum exposition the materials about formation of Jewish Diaspora in East Kazakhstan are submitted. Photos, copy of the documents, book, personal things from the Jewish families. The first statistical items of information on number Jewish ethnos concern to 1825, then in Semipalatinsk district was registered only 12 Judes. In 1860 years it was authorized to the Jews to enter the name in merchant class. Having received the status of a merchant, the Jewish businessman had the right on residence outside of feature of settlement. Since that time they have begun actively to master territory of Siberia. Many are surprised with enthusiasm, with which Nina Krutova studies a history of life of the Jews in Kazakhstan. In the answer she bewildered shrugs shoulders:

- Why it surprises you? Jew I am only on passionate aspiration of soul. This theme, is interesting for me, I am moved by ordinary research inquisitiveness, desire to learn something new. In 1999, having found out, that in city there is a Jewish Sunday school, I have gone to it. I was benevolently received, offered to study at Open Israeli University. Then the invitation from the chairman of the Jewish cultural centre Vladimir Lebedev for Shabbat arrived, where again there was a warm reception. Further under the offer of the president of association "Mitsva" Alexander Baron I began purposefully to be engaged in thecollection of a material about a history of the Jewish community of East Kazakhstan. Everything and began from that.

Ten years passed. For this time the material for the large book "Jews on earth of East Kazakhstan " is assembled, by powers of a museum are prepared for the edition a photoalbum " Jewish headstones1886-1922" And catalogue "Collection of subjects of Judaic in assembly of museum - reserve, end XIX - beginning XXI centuries. ".
