On June 5 the first Ice Cream Festival was held in Kazakhstan. It was dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the World War II and to the Child Protection Day traditionally held on June 1. The organizers invited different performance groups to make this holiday a bright and memorable event. Ensembles Ionati, Malyavki, Prohim and Katya Arepyeva’s and Kseniya Sorokolit Deut participated in the festival from the Jewish Community Center Rimon

The festival guests were presented with over 300 brands of ice cream. The prices were very affordable and mothers and fathers were glad to buy ice cream for their children. Our children, who were concert participants, were treated with lots of ice cream free of charge.

The Festival goal was to create a holiday to strengthen links between different generations in families and in the society. Work and daily chores take a lot of time from mothers and fathers while all children need to spend time together their near and dear. Our children came to the festival with their parents and grandparents, sisters and brothers. The weather was very nice and after the community event we went together to walk around the beautiful park. There were many amusements here and our children had a lot of fun and became even closer friends than before.
