In Hesed Polina a Day Center works five days per week. It includes a club for elderly people who are interested in socializing and learning new things. The Day Center gives it all to them. The Club is supervised by Natalya Solomonovna Kriventsova.

Our Day Center clients do not often go to exhibitions, theaters and museums. However, interest to new information does not decrease with age. Doctor of Geologic-mineralogy Science, Discover of new deposits Albert Bayanovich Diarov organized a guided tour of the Geologic Museum of Kazakhstan. On May 7, the first group went to Dostyk Prospect by Hesed minivan.

We were impressed by the Geologic Museum, its amazing exposition of unique natural formations. Even in front of the Museum entrance there is a huge stone of a non-processed rock crystal. The group was met by a very good guide, Geologist Viktor Sergeyevich. We learned from him why mines were reinforced by pine trees, how field journals were kept, where and what kind of deposits of mineral resources are located in Kazakhstan.

We were pleasantly surprised when we saw an author show-case of Albert Diarov who was with us on the tour. There were beautiful stones under the glass. We felt a deep respect for the Geologist that he had gone a long way, made lots of measurements before he discovered these deposits.

Our tour culmination was the panoramic show-case of the Jurassic Period. Tired but happy we returned to Hesed. We were discussing what we had just seen. Everybody had a lot of impressions.
