On November 25, in the Retro Gallery an exhibition "Elegy" of Olga Ryzhova took place. This talented artist is a member of our community. She is an active volunteer of the Jewish library. Olga’s works have delighted audiences in Canada and Russia, were presented in the exhibition hall of Hesed "Polina".
The vernissage was opened by the exhibition's organizer Nadezhda Anisimovna Polonskaya, "Olga Ryzhova’s works present the ancient art of decoration. More than twenty materials are used in her works of art - crystal powder, paint, acrylic paste, beads, feathers, shells and many more. I can imagine how she works - every stroke is made with love. Her paintings are actively bought by collectors; they look great in any interior".

Many representatives of the Artists Association of Almaty "Samotsvety" came to attend the opening ceremony. Violeta Koropotkina, Head of the Association, said, "Olga has been a member of our club for more than a decade. She has been amazing, inspiring us all this time. She herself is a work of art. She makes even a simple camel to be magical like emerging from the Arabian tales". Nadezhda Lopatina, "Congratulations! Your exhibition is always a holiday". Victor Petrunin, "I wonder how hardworking a person should be to create such a gamma! Look at this little flower, how many shades it has! Continue your creation and we will admire your works of art".
Art critic Larissa Kulikova said she was deeply impressed when she first saw Olga Ryzhova’s exhibition of paintings in 2007. Larisa wrote several poems dedicated to the artist and recited some of them for the guests, "The space and time, as the roots and the wings...." One of her poems framed in a flower garland was placed at the entrance.
Officer of Hesed "Polina" Galina Lipker said, "Olga is a member of our community and we are delighted that such a fairy, a magician is living in our city. After all, what she does is magic. All members of our club "Retro 7.40" admire her talent".
Olga Joseph is a beautiful woman. She is like a flower herself, just like the flowers she loves to paint and create with different materials. She thanked all her guests, "It's not often that artists have their exhibitions organized. I want to share with you the joy of "Elegy".
