On April 21, in Astana in the hotel "Rixos Prezident Astana" a reception in honor of the 62nd anniversary of the Independence Day of Israel was held by the Israeli Embassy.

Vice-Minister of Industry and Technologies of Kazakhstan Albert Rau, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nurlan Erkembayev, Ambassadors of Russia, Georgia, and Netherlands, Director of Hesed Astana Elena Levina, Director of Karagandy Hesed Miriam Bella Kamenetskaya, business and political community representatives were present at the event.

Ambassador of Israel Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Mr. Israel May-Ami, addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. He told about a remarkable history of Israel and its many modern achievements, about the development of Kazakhstan-Israeli relations, the growing role of Kazakhstan in the international political and economic areas.

Then the floor was given to Albert Rau, Minister of Industry and Innovations. He spoke about the strengthening of Kazakhstan-Israeli relations, which is demonstrated by the fact that Israeli Minister of Industry had visited Kazakhstan seven times. Our partnership results in mutual benefits for Kazakhstan and Israel. Proposed by President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, the next decade will be dedicated to the innovation development of all areas of economy. Albert Rau wished the State of Israel peace. He noted that there is no such a thing as somebody else’s trouble at our small planet.

National anthems of Israel and Kazakhstan were performed at the event.

The reception continued with a chamber concert and a buffet.
