TEACH KINDNESS AND TOLERANCE

Astana 22.04.10

It has become poplar to color the truth about one’s social origin, look for famous ancestors, and links to famous family names. Why look for something? There are many remarkable people with unique life experiences living beside us. They are war veterans. They are the great people we often search for.

The Victory Day is coming soon. This is one of the main values uniting the older generation with the generation that was born after the war. Every year there are fewer people who personally participated in the war. Our understanding, sympathy, and support are very important to them.

On the eve of the Great Victory Day, the youngest community members came to Hesed. Everybody had an idea how to better organize the celebration. Polina Golovina proposed to make memorable invitation cards with children’s drawings. Ilyas Levin proposed reciting poems about the war, Vika Goldina - playing war melodies and sing songs that our veterans like most of all.

Finally we have developed the action plan and started working. Even the youngest Anechka Krivosheyeva did her best to make pictures on invitation cards with a military helmet lying on the ground under a blooming apple tree.

On May 9th, we will gather to tell the veterans the words of our gratitude. Of course, there will be many sad recollections of the war, and still it will be a holiday! Heroic deeds do not have a limitation period.
