Hanukkah gathered members of the Jewish community in Kostanay Cafe "Boulevard". According to the tradition, Vladimir Lyakhovetsky reminded the history of the holiday, and lit a big Hanukkah. Hesed Director Peter Rubinstein warmly congratulated all the participants of the celebration.


In honor of Hanukkah our community members have prepared a wonderful concert. The presenters were the concert organizers Eugene Parkhomenko and Vadim Chaskov. For many participants the concert was their first public performance and they showed their talents for the first time. Olga Guralskaya and Olga Grigorova performed with a great success. The audience clapped in unison to the juniors Nadya Agafonova and Matvey Guralskiy. "Hava Nagila" was sung by Natalia Bondarenko. And as always, our famous singer Anastasia Palant sang with greta success.


The traditional Hanukkah table was rich and festively decorated. Children were given a special attention: there were sweets, and, as expected at this holiday, "Hanukkah Gelt".



This event was also memorable because of the birthday of one of the most respected women in our community, Pediatrician Ekaterina Perepletchikova. Ekaterina Alexandrovna turned eighty-three years. She was presented with a musical greeting from her friend and peer Nina Petrovna Berelovitch. Flushed with embarrassment, Ekaterina Alexandrovna pressed a large bouquet of flowers to his chest and thanked everybody for the attention.


We were all dancing to the live music for a long time. Cafe workers said with surprise, "How wonderfully your community is able to have fun! Well done!"
