New 5,771 Year started with nice surprises prepared by Hesed for the Kostanay community. It included sweet packages, many gifts, and holiday greetings. But the biggest impression was from Rosh Hashanah celebration in Bulvar cafe. The party was attended by everybody from children to elderlies. The traditional New Year wine, apples in honey (to make the year sweet), and festively laid tables.
Hesed Director Petr Rubinshtein congratulated the community. Vladimir Lyakhovetskiy reminded of the holiday traditions. Vadim Chashkov was great at blowing shofar.
Our young actors and actresses, prize winners at Freilehe Kinder Festival Anastasia Palant, Natalya Lux, Anna Fisenko, and Yana Kalyadina made the party a success. They performed at a professional level and picked the program themselves: the song of the Exodus "Wendy Believe" - the soundtrack to the animated film "Prince of Egypt", the Israeli song "Shuv", the arousing Jewish dances ... the girls were great and the audience was delighted. On behalf of the community, Peter Rubinstein gave them gifts for their achievements at the festival "Freilehe Kinder". Young people once again showed their outstanding creativity.
Our wonderful musicians - flutist Vadim Chashkov and a saxophonist and singer Arkady Schleifer were playing for the whole evening. Nobody could resist their cheerful Jewish melodies even the people of venerable age. Ninel Petrovna Berelovich was especially enthusiastic: she sang a lot, and was always the first to start dancing. Nobody could believe that this beautiful woman, medical doctor and a Ph.D. is now in her eighties.
I would like to mention the head of one of the clubs in the Jewish cultural center Evgeniya Parkhomenko. She is very active and can inspire creativity in both young and elderly community members.
People were leaving happy. One of the festival guests, a representative of Ratiofarm Company Natalia Bondarenko shared her opinion, "Our pharmaceutical firm has recently become an Israeli firm, and we are now keenly interested in the traditions of this country. I have even prepared the song "Hava Nagila" to a seminar in Almaty. And this New Year's holiday in the Jewish community has become a revelation for me. I liked everything: the good, funny people, talented singers, dancers and musicians. Thanks for a wonderful evening!"
