Just before joyful Hanukkah, Hesed Efraim clients received winter help. We live in the North. Here we depend on warm things, electrical appliances, and calorie-rich nutrition. We, Petropavlovsk pensioners, did not expect such a generous help, because we are well aware of current difficult times. Noble people leading devout life take care not only of their own wellbeing but also try to provide assistance to sick and weak members of the Jewish Community.

Following the sacred commandment, the American Distribution Committee, Joint, provides us with the invaluable help. President of Mitsva Association, Alexander Baron, implements organizational and teaching activities. Thanks to his personal contacts and hard work, Jewish communities of Kazakhstan (including Petropavlovsk) receive considerable financial help. We are grateful to everybody! The work of Community Centers and Hesed revive Jewish traditions in our region. Now we have a place to come, socialize, learn, and grow spiritually. People are always united by common interests and common roots.

There are considerate sponsors in our community as well. They are Chairman of the Cultural Center Yuriy Evdayev, his borther Rashbil Evdayev, Vyacheslav Adamov, Shumy Isakov. The Winter Help Program and Food Packages Program function due to an enormous work done by Hesed personnel: Director of Social Programs Zhanna Kanter, Volunteer Nadezhda Bykova, Director Svetlana Makarovskaya. This gives us confidence in the team spirit of Kazakhstan Jewish Community. Despite of the world crisis we believe in good future. We thank all kind people!
