Hesed Efraim always fulfills its important mission - provides help to low-income Jewish families. People are glad to come here to socialize, exchange news, and discuss new literature publications. But there are Jewish families who live in very remote areas. They cannot come to Hesed but they also need friends and would like to know about all activates going in the community.


To visit such families we have organized a trip to the most remote district of our oblast located 300 km away from the city. We have accumulated so many useful gifts that we had to rent a cargo minivan. We also brought newly published newspapers and new literature. The Jewish families of the Timiryazev district - Zaika, Push, Partenadze, Stepins, Gavriliks, and Yukhneviches were very happy to see us. They were moved to tears by our care and attention, that we always involve them in community life in spite of the distance. These families thanked the sponsors for received help and for the opportunity to meet with Hesed staff and receive information about Jewish community life.
