On the eve of the anniversary of the great ballerina, in Taraz Hesed, the literary salon met in honor of the legend of the Bolshoi Theatre, People's Artist of the USSR - Maya Plisetskaya. A story about the ballerina, the woman who created a happy family with Composer Rodion Shchedrin, began with a small excursion into the past of her Jewish family. Then the story naturally focused on her creative achievements. Maya was the best performer in such ballets as "Swan Lake", "Stone Flower", "Spartacus." In the 80s, because of conflicts in the Bolshoi Theater the ballerina was forced to leave Russia and work in Europe. She choosed Spain and continues dancing with great success. Since 1990, she performs with concert programs abroad, conducts master classes. She is President of Ballet "Imperial". In 1985, she was awarded with the title Doctor of the Sorbonne. In July 1991 the King of Spain granted her a title of nobility.
The Literary Salon discussed the autobiographical books of Plisetskaya. On October 2, 2008, in Moscow, the great dancer and the wonderful actress, held a presentation of her second book, "13 Years After". For this event, she flew to the capital for several days. Maya Mikhailovna Plisetskaya - literally a living legend, a national treasure. One of Spanish journalists dedicated the following lines to her, the unforgettable "Carmen", a superstar of dance, "I see flying from the audience with no end, no roses, no roses but human hearts."
