Susan Barocas, director of the international Washington Jewish Film Festival which celebrates 22 years anniversary this year, visited the Jewish communal center, the library named after Moris Simashko at the Jewish community, and Hesed "Polina" of the city of Almaty.

The international Jewish Film Festival in Washington, sponsored by the Jewish organizations, shows from year to year films from the different countries, in almost all languages of the world, the criterion for them is one – a red thread of the Jewish subjects. During her visit Susan Barocas met the president of Association of the Jewish organizations of Republic Kazakhstan "Mitsva" Alexander Baron, the head of library Natalia Kovalenko where films available in fund on the Jewish community have been shown. During conversation with the president of Association of the Jewish organizations of Republic Kazakhstan "Mitsva" Alexander Baron topics on world Jewry and the Jewish culture have been mentioned, and achievements of the community have been shown to our guest. As an excursion and conversation result intention about the further fruitful cooperation has been stated.
