More than 50 persons were involved to the debate on anti-Semitism topic organized by volunteers of "Youth club" at Almaty hesed "Polina". Its moderator, teacher and World War’s veteran Lubov Koretskaya since the very first moment involved the young people into the dispute.

"Why it has been silence about Holocaust for many years? Why it has been so-called "kitchen topic" in USSR?" Lubov Koretskaya asks offering to think about it those who due to being young haven’t witnessed those events themselves. There’s no right answer but young people while discussing began to understand post-War times, reasons why the quantity of Holocaust victims has been kept silent and why after the War Europe and whole world have pretended that nothing had happened to Jewish nation.

The discussion was based on the book "Jews and life. Is the Holocaust ridiculous?" With its help discussion’s participants drew the terrible picture of those days in their minds. The young generation learns this lesson of history and all of us hope such nightmare won’t happen again.

"The Youth Club" makes different actions every week after Kabalat Shabbat. It could be concerts, creative evenings and debates. Sensitive issues, such as anti-Semitism, excite minds of young generation, and it is always possible here to discuss disturbing topics. The actions take place with active support of hesed’s director Inessa Chugainova and coordinator Julia Golandskaya.
