Children and youth from five till eighteen years have taken part in a quiz «In search of Golden Afikoman». The quiz game was made by the Jewish communal center "Rimon" led by the main organizer director Inessa Chugajnova. Four commands participated in the competition.
The children had to answer questions on tradition, to fulfill sports tasks and to show such qualities as ability to work in a command, sports skills and of course knowledge of history and laws of Pesah holiday. One of Almaty parks was chosen as the place for the game and four commands had to find «signs of Pesah», the multi-colored cards and also to receive prize-winning points. It was not always easy as children had to jump twenty times by skipping rope in order to receive the card from Ruslan Archakov, They had to pass the labyrinth built by Zhanna Danilenko and try not to drop a balloon clamped between two pencils. They also had to fulfill task of psychologist Pshenina Natalya and to remember all the Pesah rules such as amount of necessary glasses of wine, questions of “four brothers” and so on. Questions on tradition were made by Julia Golandskaya. And Golubovsky Lilia asked the children to remember Tu bi Shvat and to paint fruits of Israel.
But all commands have successfully fulfill the tasks. As jury has acted «the parental committee» - Trohimchuk Natalia, Lushina Julia and Arebeva Marina. They scrupulously counted up the found and won cards. The command "dark blue" became the winner and the main prize – a box of Israeli matza, the «Golden Afikoman» has been given to the smallest participant, Olya Polovinko.
Every spring, each Pesah, we remember our exodus from Egypt. The game combined spring fun, feeling of freedom and knowledge of Pesah holiday is some kind of a symbol of our memory. The community, following the main precept of Pesah, gives the memory to the children.
