With an opening address the president of Association of Jewish organizations "Mitsva" Alexander Baron noted Yury Shneiderman 's merits both as the artist, and as the soldier who has passed the Great Patriotic War, and as poet. The gift for the artist was the most important book of the Jewish people – a Torah.

Friends, colleagues and visitors congratulated Shneidermana. The colonel, the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Leonid Girsh about whom Yury Shneiderman has even wrote some verses, told about old friendship with the artist, his creative way – after all the number of pictures of Shneiderman will soon reach ten thousand, and at this exhibition as it has been noted repeatedly, almost all are new.
Among friends and grateful spectators there were representatives of the Central State archive of Republic Kazakhstan Ilyas Orazbaev and Zhuldyz Rabatova, known photographer Valery Korenchuk, the sculptor, a member of the Union of artists of Republic Kazakhstan, Halidula Braliev, members of the Jewish community of a city of Almaty. For them Yury Shneiderman, not only the artist, but also the poet, has read three poems devoted to military years.
