Ten years is a round date, anniversary. Ten years anniversary celebrates the "Family club” of Jewish community of Almaty. It is the first of numerous clubs which have arisen at Hesed and the communal centre at the initiative of members of a community. It unites people of different age, young and old, from children to pensioners – and all of them have come to wish favourite club happy birthday.

The event took place in sanatorium "Kazakhstan" where «Family club» spends annual rest. After opening of ceremony by Svetlana Nezhinskaya, the president of Association of the Jewish organisations of Kazakhstan "Mitsva" Alexander Baron took an opening word. He noted how important «Family club» for the Jewish community is as family values are very important for the community. He also noticed continuity of generations and teamwork of people of all age.

Certainly, the children from our vocal-choreographic ensembles Jonati and Prahim should congratulate «Family club». They performed two dances and a song in Hebrew. Club "Retro" also wished to «Family club» many years of prosperity – as it is necessary by the Jewish tradition, «to hundred twenty».

Sara Dotsenko, the head of "Family club” thanked the president of Association of the Jewish organizations of Republic Kazakhstan Aleksandr Baron and the director of Hesed Inessa Chugainova for invaluable help and support to "Family club”. Gratitude words sounded to each volunteer, to everyone who participates in our communal life. Thanks to «the invariable rabbi» Lesha Korobkin, thanks to Lubov Koretsky, head of «club in club» "Hozjajushka", thanks to experts-erudites Arcady Plotkin and Alexander Dotsenko … And the ceremony end was marked by performing of a new hymn of the club.

Ten years – it is much? One it is possible to tell with confidence, it is significant date in a life of the Jewish community, after all in «Family club» grow up and new and new generations of members of our community. The huge work in all directions is making, and the most important thing that the integrity and continuity of traditions remains. Ours «Family club» grows and develops – so we wish it once again «to hundred twenty» and even more!
