Grand prix and the first prize received the young men, representing the Jewish community of Almaty on the Children's Television Festival-contest of children's songs by Kazakhstani authors "Zharkyn-Zhol".

There were three prizes in each nomination, but "Anahnukan" ensemble deserved special attention of the jury. Grand prix and audience choice award were given to our young men. The members of the ensemble are constant participants of Jewish communal life: Natalya Tresvyatskaya, Nastya Ezhova, Sasha Artushina, Katya Arepyeva, Eugene Chugainova and Nastya Ursulova.

The song by Kazakhstan Jewish composer Eduard Bogushevsky "The Window" was the special part and was performed by duet "Sisters" (Ksenia Sorokilit and Katya Arepyeva). The performance won the first prize in the middle age group. For several years children of the community have been singing songs by Bogushevsky, and now had opportunity to sing them for the whole Kazakhstan. The contest was held in two stages. On Saturday contestants were gathered in Dvorec Shkolnikov, where the musical struggle began. The jury has been discussing for three hours, before determining the winners. All this time parents and spectators supported the young singers. And on Sunday the noisy and joyful gala-concert with the participation of winners of the contest-festival took place. A storm of applause met and accompanied our heroes and "Khabar" TV channel aired the action in a live broadcast, so even those who were not able to come personally had the opportunity to be glad for young members of the community.

The Jewish community pays great attention not only to the traditions, but also creative development of children and teenagers. It’s not the first time when community ensembles and artists get prizes in various competitions and festivals. We should thank musical teacher Ludmila Samsonova and director of hesed Inessa Chugainova, who keep working with young talents. And the results are here!
