The wreath of Hanukkah events of the Jewish community of Almaty, became the Hanukkah ball – the event first in own way. The participants of youth club and club a young family, more than sixty persons, youth and adults with children prepared by them. They composed scenario, selected music and dances … Ladies in evening dresses, gentlemen in suits – everything as it has to be.

It is necessary to mention dances separately: the ball has begun with a polonaise and a mazourka, and thanks to efforts of the choreographer Anna Eremina all sixty participants acted as one, and from outside it seemed as if they prepared for this opening performance some weeks, and even months.

Hanukkah is a holiday of light and main symbol of it is possible to consider a burning candle. Therefore it is no wonder that the first vocal turn was accompanied by dance with the lit candles which flame merged in a light source which lit up everyone. And the same symbol was Hanukkia in the scene center, to light which have been invited people whose merits before the Jewish community of Almaty are doubtless and conclusive.



Certainly, first of all it was the organizer of all events of youth club and club the young family – the director of Hesed and the communal center, Inessa Chugainova. She also said salutary words from the president of Association of Jewish organizations "Mitsva" Alexander Baron, and congratulated visitors on this remarkable holiday. Another candle was lit by the head of press center Isaak Dvorkin who reminded that history of the victory of Jews and having wished victories in our life. It is necessary to note leaders: Eliko Chikovani, Nastya Borovikova and Vyacheslav Breusov who have made the evening not only solemn, but also cheerful.





The right to light a candle has been given also to families of Arepev and Sava, and Katya Arepeva has pleased audience by her songs. But, speaking about vocal skill of members of our community, it is necessary to mention the musical head Lyudmila Samsonova, and she also lit one of candles.

And dances, serious and comic numbers … the audience not only listened and wached songs, but also participated small "quiz" where it was required to sing a song..



Probably, there are many ways to celebrate any holiday as long as main percepts are kept. And this Hanukkah ball, undoubtedly, has been spent at the highest level, it was rather joyful and full of light, despite a winter cold behind a window. Thanks to organizers and sponsors, JDC organization.
