The Jewish holiday, Sukkot, begins at 15th day of new year and proceeds for 7 days. Karaganda decided to celebrate in a synagogue of Astana. Employees of the communal center have done the big preliminary work on preparation of this action.

Early in the morning by the big comfortable bus all interested persons (50 persons) have gone travel. In a way director of "Shemesh" Irina Kozhanovsky and the coordinator of library Larissa Brodsky have told about the travel purpose, about traditions of a holiday of Sukkot and about a forthcoming holiday «Simhat Torah» finishing a series of autumn holidays.

This day in a synagogue the concert of the Jewish music, performed by the visitor from England clarinettist Oleg Lapidus has taken place. All visitors had an exclusive possibility to hear the present Jewish music. Fervent, cheerful melodies, the fine performance - it was impossible to remain sitting on a place.

And then all participants have been invited into sukka, to a celebratory meal during which rabbi Shmuel has told about the holiday, about basic traditions of a holiday. And actor Oleg Lapidus, whose art so has pleased everything, has told about himself, his creative way. Then Karaganda accompanied by Astana Hesed director Elena Levina have passed on capital streets, have walked at a symbol of the city Baiterek, have visited shopping center.

The trip has charged all good mood and positive emotions. But the main thing, this that that all participants of this holiday have completely plunged into the Jewish environment.
