Holiday of Log-baomer is celebrated in all Jewish communities. In Karaganda this day Youth club "Shatil" decided to make a picnic. 18 persons arrived for a picnic and began to work. The boys were collecting dry branches for a fire, kindled a brazier. Girls strung marinaded meat on skewers, cut vegetables. While the shish kebab was fried, children were photographed, researches the district, inflated balls for football and basketball.

When shish kebab was ready, it was possible to sit down for a meal. The children have heard with interest to the conversation about a holiday, about events of old years connected with these days prepared by Larisa Brodsky. The rabbi Akiva’s and rabbi Shimon bar Johai’s lives are examples of lives full ideas and first of all Judaism. Irina Kozhanovsky, director of "Shemesh", has paid attention of the children on the fact that rabbi Akiva’s disciples have suffered the epidemic because of their disrespectful relation to each other. This day we not only light fires, but also arrange various competitions in dexterity. Children excitedly played ball games on a glade. It is very pleasant that together with children their parents also arrived for the picnic. Along toward evening, all participants of a trip played word game.

At the end of the day, tired, but happy all children went to the bus. Fresh air, good company, interesting program made this holiday useful and unforgettable.
