24th 2011года in Pavlodar in the Shafer House the Euroasian Jewish congress award ceremony awarding professor of philology, composer, musicologist, researcher of Isaak Dunaevsky creativity, collector Naum Shafer has taken place. The award was handed over by the member of a general council of the Euroasian Jewish congress, a member of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, a member of National board of Republic Kazakhstan, the president of Association of the Jewish national organizations of Republic Kazakhstan "Mitsva" Alexander Baron. Vice-president of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan Sesimbai Zhetpysbaev, chief of Pavlodar area department of culture Kanat Karimov, chief of city department of culture Ajnur Sarsenbaeva visited the ceremony. The event was also visited by regional newspaper «Zvezda Priirtysha», newspapers "Region", regional newspaper «Pavlodar week», regional TV channel "Irbis" and members of the Jewish community.

Naum Shafer graduated philological faculty of the Kazakh state University named after S.M.Kirov. He took lessons of a composition teached by Evgeny Brusilovsky who initiated Shafer for the first public music compositions under a pseudonym Nami Gitin. Within many decades Shafer studied and propagandized Isaac Dunaevsky's creativity, wrote books and articles, published his letters. Naum Shafer made two unique programs: "Isaak Dunaevsky meets Michael Bulgakov" and "Bricks", the anthology of city folklore for 100 years. His CD "Hope’s light" is the first experience of sound anthology of Jewish song in Russian. His last presentation was «Bessarabia – native land» taken place in February.

Vocal collective "Anavim" congratulated Shafer. They performed “United Hearts” song, written in 2001 by Nami Gitin. Female vocal collective "Teibelah" performed the song «The Evening waltz» written in 1947 by Nami Gitin.

For many years brings the invaluable contribution to development of the Jewish community Naum Grigorevich Shafer. He works as volunteer and makes educational work. Merits of Nauma Shafer recognizes not only the Jewish community, in January of this year he has been already awarded by a medal «For merits before area». The Jewish community of Republic Kazakhstan can be proud of this remarkable person.
