February 17th-19th in Almaty the annual conference of heads of the Jewish organizations of Republic Kazakhstathere has taken place. There were 57 persons from 13 cities of Kazakhstan.

The event was opened by blessing of rabbi Shevah Zlatopolsky who underlined communication with the week chapter of Torah in which it is told about necessity «to bring the light to each Jew».

The president of Association of Jewish organizations "Mitsva", member of EAJC general council Alexander Baron has read the message from the Ambassador of the State Israel in Republic Kazakhstan Israel Mey Ami were the high importance of work of the Jewish organizations in Republic Kazakhstan and its the contribution to public life were underlined. Alexander Baron has also read the reference of the president of the Jewish Congress of Kazakhstan Alexander Mashkevich who congratulated on the conference having underlined fruitful creative work with the Jewish community of Kazakhstan.

The vice-president of Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Ahmedzhan Shardenov in his salutatory word noted that the Assembly considers the Jewish people its pride.

The chairman of Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan on Southern region Gabit Nuradil has wished the year 2012 to become a positive and stability mark. Gabit Nuradil has thanked Association "Mitsva" and personally its president Alexander Baron for active participation in preparation of elections of the Head of the state, and handed over the letter of thanks.

From JDC organization the representative was the head of regional JDC Ilana Levi who has noticed that each such conference is not only summarizing of the last year, but also opens a new beginning.

The representative of organization "Sohnut" Irina Karasikova has wished fruitful work, strengthening of communication of the Jewish diaspora of Republic Kazakhstan with the state Israel, having underlined Association "Mitsva"’s merits in this direction. The awarding became the culmination of an official part of conference. EAJC medal for the outstanding contribution to building of Jewish was received by community councilor of Association "Mitsva" I.Berner.

Hesed directors who showed special merits were awarded too. The certificates of honor were received by: Inessa Chugainova (Almaty) Elena Untenko (Aktobe), Tatyana Slivinsky (Pavlodar), Irina Kozhanovsky (Karaganda), Aleftina Ruban (Semey).

The representation of Hesed work in 2011 has taken place. Elena Untenko spoke about achievements, such as attraction of new volunteers and clients, increase in base and a spectrum of rendering of services and the help. The problems which heads and workers of Heseds face were also mentioned.

Tatyana Slivinsky has presented results of the communal work. There are projects such as camp-festival Freilehe Kinder, competition on Judaism "From time immemorial", the educational project of informal Jewish formation of "Shoresh", family camps, and seminars of youth leadership.



The second day the questions of work with JDC organization were discussed. The head of regional representation of JDC Ilana Levi and Hesed directors discussed questions of target financing, work in small communities of cities of Kazakhstan.

Discussion of one of the most important project, the project of informal education and competition "From time immemorial" has taken the place. The "Shoresh" leader Alexander Abramovich, the Judaism teacher Natalia Rynkovsky, the director of Hesed of Pavlodar and the organizer of competition Tatyana Slivinsky participated in discussion. During the discussion the program of teaching of the Jewish tradition for next five years for the senior, average and younger group has been generated.

Annual conference of heads of the Jewish organizations has once again summed up activity for a year. Have been noted both achievements, and problems, and ways of their decision. In summary Alexander Baron has noticed that «our purpose is to answer inquiries of the Jewish community, each Jew should be with us».
