JCC "Rimon" became the place of virtual meeting of the composer, the author of many children's songs, Edward Bogushevsky with his young admirers from Almaty.

Edward Bogushevsky is the composer, the cinematographer, the member of the Union of Composers and the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR, the author of five musical fairy tales for children, music to performances and films (art and documentary), operas, and also instrumental music.

Organized by the president of Association of the Jewish organizations Alexander Baron and the Hesed director Inessa Chugaynova the virtual meeting became the real event. Our children got used to sing, but it was the first time they sung for song’s author. The singers were Brichkina Yana and Elya, Semenova Paulina, Sorokolit Ksyusha and Arepyeva Katya. They performed about ten songs, and in turn Edward Bogushevsky shared with children the story about each of them.

The event took place in the warm, family atmosphere. All participants felt the special energy connecting two parties into the creative process. The composer applauded to children singing his songs, and children asked questions, admired favourite music and asked for more songs. After all for girls who are not older than 11 years, Edward Bogushevsky is the first favourite composer. Bogushevsky has also noted high level of pedagogical work of musical teacher Lyudmila Samsonova.

There is no doubt that this virtual meeting will be remembered by children for a long time and will give a new creative rush. Thanks to the composer Bogushevsky for this meeting. And we hope that children of the Jewish community of Kazakhstan will sing more of his songs. The American and Kazakhstan Jewish communities give a hand friendship across the ocean.
