January, 23-25rd in the city Kostanay the seminar of the project "Shoresh" on a theme «the Jewish culture: ethics of Judaism» has taken place. The synagogue of Kostanay which is now the center of the Jewish life in a city became a venue.

The leader of a seminar and the basic lecturer was the head of the project "Shoresh" Alexander Abramovich. The Judaism problem as ethical monotheism became themes of lectures in the first day. In the lecture Alexander Abramovich has mentioned questions of understanding of ethics as a whole, features of the Jewish ethics and ethical precepts (known as «the person – the person» precepts).

In the first day of a seminar there was also the meeting of the president of Association of the Jewish organizations of Republic Kazakhstan "Mitsva" Alexander Baron with the Jewish community of the cities of Kostanay and Rudny. Despite thirty-degree frosts, there were more than fifty persons. Alexander Baron has reminded history of formation of Association "Mitsva" which in 2011 has celebrated the twenty years' anniversary – together with similar anniversary of Independence of our Republic.

«Result of our work in cities of Kazakhstan is that all of us have Jewish associations, there are places where we can come. We collected and we continue to collect Jews across all Kazakhstan in the one community», Alexander Baron noted. He underlined the international importance of activity of Association "Mitsva": occurrence in the Euroasian Jewish Congress where along with Kazakhstan 29 CIS countries, Yugoslavia and Asia take part. In the city of Kostanaj the leader of the Jewish community is head of ECC Peter Rubinshtein, whose merits in the organization of the Jewish life have been underlined by the president of Association "Mitsva". Besides, Alexander Baron has noted one more anniversary: the twentieth anniversary of activity of JDC with which effective and fruitful cooperation proceeds.

Besides, in the first day of a seminar young participants of the project "Shoresh" acted. Alexander Mishaeva from Karaganda has shined a precept problematics, Eliko Chikovani has mentioned laws on mutual aid (a precept «don't remain indifferent to blood of the near»). The round table on discussion of development of the project "Shoresh" where problems of training of young lecturers of the Jewish tradition, and as questions closely connected with the project "Shoresh" Kazakhstani competition on Judaism "From time immemorial" were discussed became the final stage of the first day of a seminar.

The second day of a seminar has been open by discussion about the Jewish formation in Kazakhstan and prospects of its development. During discussion the questions planned the day before connected as about a show jumping were discussed. This day the reports of Almaty Hesed director Inessa Chugajnovaand Tamara Nikitenko « Paternalism of Hesed and the right of the client», devoted to ethical problems of workers during interaction with clients have been presented.

Final third day of a seminar summarized two previous. The project head of "Shoresh" Alexander Abramovich has given to participants of the questionnaire where everyone could specify themes wished in the future for discussion.

Second half of final day has been devoted an open seminar for inhabitants of the cities of Kostanay and Rudny. Reports which have already sounded the day before have been read again for visitors, and each of them has caused considerable interest from members of a community.
