KOSHER PESACH

Petropavlovsk 10.04.12

Pesash is the most important holiday in our calendar. We wanted that this holiday was really kosher. We waited for rabbis to arrive. Therefore two days of the week were devoted to cleaning. Volunteers Igor Guretsky, Clara Pilzak, Lydia Gatych, Nellie Razumova, Galina Bogdanova made preparations. Even three-year Dasha actively helped the grandmother, making the feasible contribution to holiday preparation.

And then rabbis Nissan and Meir arrived. Both English-speaking therefore we had to break a language barrier. And it is not surprising that presence of the translator on two seder became the first request of rabbis.

We found the translator. The young guy having the Jewish roots was our transator. He wasn't the member of our community but was interested in the Jewish traditions. And now he became the member of a community.

Two seders passed in a festive atmosphere. Rabbis told about Pesach, about value of each tradition. And our guests made quiz with children. Children learned something new about Judaism and its features. It was very pleasant.

And week of Pesach proceeds. Hag Pesach sameah!
