  The first regional seminar of Medical Program employees started working on Thursday, 31 May 2001 in hotel "Karagalinskiy".
  15 people from different cities of Kazakhstan and Tashkent came to Almaty to listen to the lectures of Vera Sverdlovskiy the Head of Medical Programs of "Joint". The subjects of the lectures were different: aspects of work with the clients, planning of medical consultations, psychological aspects of relations between physicians and their patients, specific character of the Medical Support of the clients. Medical Program employees were given the recommendations on organizing their work.
  The participants socialized with each other easily and informally. Natalya Dorman, the Director of Hesed "Polina", opened the seminar. She was speaking about the structure and the aims of Hesed, the lines of development and interaction between different units of Hesed with the Medical Unit and programs: "Medical Consultations", "Distribution of medicine" and "Loan of Medical Equipment".
  The meeting with the psychologist Irina Zaltsman took place in the evening program.
Natalya Popova, doctor endocrinologist read a very interesting lecture about "Diabetic problems of elderly people".
  And in the afternoon groups worked on simulations different situations they could meet in their everyday life.
  After the intensive studying everybody had Shabbat in kosher restaurant "Sarah". On Saturday afternoon participants and organizers reviewed the results of the seminar and agreed to meet again in Fall.
