Vail and Alexander Genis are little known to our readers, though the Republican
Jewish Library has several of their books. That is why it was decided to dedicate
a meeting of library literature club to their lives, works, and the book "Russian
Kitchen in Exile" that has recently appeared in the library stock.
The head of the Republican Jewish Library Eugenie Karyakina emotionally
and captivatingly told about the works of Peter Vail and Alexander Genis. And
a volunteer Svetlana Nezhinskaya described the kitchen in exile.
At the meeting representatives of "Shalom" family club
(Rimon "JCC") introduced a great idea - to start cooking meals
following the recipes from the book. Soon the community will taste the dishes
described by Vail and Genis.
