I
can not say that I expected something great from the winter camp - I was
a leader. I thought it would be very difficult to find a common language with
children. But to my great surprise I managed to do it! Stop, I want to tell
about everything step by step.
Morning. Friday. Bus. Little space, but the more the merrier. And
here it is - "Ulan" rest home. I look around and feel satisfied
with everything. Though at the same time the fear of my "adult" position
does not let me rejoice at the trip.
Breakfast. Lessons. Lunch. Rest. Lessons. Dinner. Lessons. Normal
schedule, nothing special. Though, it was special that nobody called us (leaders)
"children". We were constantly getting prepared to various activities
and events. Besides, we had to know where children were and what they were doing.
But in most cases we were getting under our charges' feet, because the children
knew better what they wanted and went straight towards their aim.
Children, children, children! They became so dear to me for several
days. Though there were arguments, and everybody wanted to show his independence,
I believe, they were the best group. The children made me fall in love with
them at the first sight. Though other leaders said the same about their groups.
It was a wonderful trip! Endless laughter and a plenty of causes
for joy. Everything that happened in "Ulan" will forever remain in
my heart.
