One of the meetings of Hesed "Sarah" Women's club was devoted to the subject "Jewish cookery".

   "For hundreds of years Jews have been lived among other nations", - Marina Vihlyaeva, a club's leader says. "Nevertheless, they could save its Tradition and culture".

   One of the elements of any nation's culture is cookery. It's a pity, but major recipes for Jewish people of the former SSSR were lost when a generation of the end of the XIX century - beginning of the XX century was gone. That's why one wants to believe that cookery society working at Aktubinsk Hesed Women's club will be a basis of renewal of the lost and a step towards creation a real Jewish house in a city".

   Meeting's participants cooked about 10 Jewish dishes, discussed the merits of each dish and shared their recipes with the guests.
